Friday Vigil friends and Companions
Photos from our recent activities in the Castro neighborhood. 2017
The ministry of the Companions in the Castro District of San Francisco is a vital opportunity to demonstrate love and relationship. In living out the Principles, CDW offers opportunities for ongoing companionship in ministry with the larger community.
The Companions of Dorothy the Worker would like to formally thank you for your support of our ministry in 2015-2016.
During our October 29th Chapter meeting you were recognized as CDW “Heart Friends”. We treasure your participation in our formation and our ongoing ministry to the Queer Community.
Please keep us in your prayers as you are always in ours.
Yours in Christ and with much love,
Mother Diana Jacoba, CDW

Mother Diana and the Brother Protector led a tour through Castro for a group of incoming seminarians for the Pacific Theological Seminary. The discussion focused on LGBTQ History and experience and the realities and practicalities of pastoral care and presence in the queer community. It was an engaging and exciting experience geared toward raising up allies among new clergy.
